Join us as we welcome 'Queen of the Killer Twist' Sophie Hannah to Wallingford. Sophie will be chatting with Alison Gomm about writing the Poirot novels on behalf of the Agatha Christie Estate; how Agatha Christie has influenced her writing, and perhaps a little insight into her new fiendishly clever standalone No One Would Do What the Lamberts Have Done, described by Gillian McAllister as 'Sophie Hannah at her wry, ingenious best'.

 
The bookshop will be selling a selection of Sophie's books after the event, which Sophie will be happy to sign.

 

Very excitingly, we will also have copies of the latest Poirot, The Last Death of the Year, for sale on the night. This won't be released publicly until 23rd October so this is a real coup for Poirot fans!

STORY WRITING COMPETITION
Calling budding mystery writers (ages 5-17)
Write a short mystery (can be a story or graphic novel, max 1 page of A4) and

enter our competition to win a Wallingford Bookshop book token!

There are three age related categories and there will be two winners per category:
Mini Mysteries - age 5-7
Murderous Middle Grade - ages 8-12
Teenage Thrillers - ages 13-17
Entries must be handed in to The Wallingford Bookshop by 3pm on 14th September.

Winners will be announced and published in the October edition of Window on Wallingford.​
